A new squall has arrived

A rain band has just arrived in my location with moderate rain and a little bit of wind, but nothing really out of the ordinary. Here’s the radar:

Now the rain is coming up in intensity. This is the heaviest I’ve seen the rain since the storm began. Curiously, there isn’t much wind, though it must be a completely different story on the beaches and the Battery.

Update: And just like that, the rain backs off. A quick dash of four hundredths of an inch. Still very little wind. I’ll update this post for a little while until this band kinda passes by, or if things get really hairy I’ll just start a new post.

Update 2: The heavy rain really is very on and off. It’ll be a quick dash of rain, and then it’ll back off to more sprinkles or drizzle.

I’ve got some pictures from the cell phone of the oncoming squall, as well as of the lack of flooding so far.
